10 Love Scenes Guaranteed To Make You Cry

Origin of Cool: Global

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, thousands of men can be seen frantically trying to find the perfect gift for their partner. What they are missing however, is that love is greatest gift of all! So many movies have been made illustrating this point. Whether it is Humphrey Bogart’s character Rick Blaine embraces Ilsa at the finale of Casablanca or Patrick Swayze appearing behind Demi Moore in the famous pottery scene in Ghost, these are truly iconic moments in film history. Here are the top 10 love scenes that I feel will make your tears roam free (off the record, Up has to be the number 1!!). I have included a “cry guide” after each movie to prepare you.

Have I missed any great scenes? Let me know in the comments below.

Casablanca (Grab a box of tissues)

Brief Encounter (Eyes welling up)

Ghost (Soaked cheeks)

It’s A Wonderful Life (Moderately dry eyes)

Lady and the Tramp (Mild sobbing)

Up (A deluge of tears. Floodgates open. A crying tsunami)

Beauty and the Beast (Eyes welling up with occasional sniffing)

Titanic (Gushing tears. New box of tissues required)

Forrest Gump (An occasional stray tear rolling south)

The Graduate (Happy tears. Go get her Benjamin!)
