Californian artist, photographer, Media Roots founder, and RT correspondent Abby Martin crafts some very profound “graffiti style art” using mixed mediums. The struggle of social and political ideologies render themselves into gritty, awe-inspiring works that speak of a raw, and powerfully rebellious spirit towards the establishment.
When I asked Abby in an email how she would describe her style of art, and what her main themes are, she replied:
“My style is psychedelic abstract art but also I have a lot of social and politically motivated themes!”
I try to tap into an outer consciousness for my abstract work, but when I do collage work it usually is more driven by specific themes.”
Abbys’ online gallery can be viewed here. Below are a select few I like best:
Her journalistic body of work can be seen on Youtube where she is working for RT and appearing in We are Change videos as well.
