One rarely thinks of office furnishings as being a trigger to summon a childhood fantasy. Well one should take a moment to reassess life. In front of you is The Aviator Wing Desk from Restoration Hardware. Yes you read right. The store which evokes images of overpriced things which you sit on has apparently began thinking a bit farther than outside of the box.

The inspiration seems to stem from somewhere in between a very Hughes-esque flush riveted concept and a wing from TaleSpin’s Sea Duck. The desk is skinned in patches of weathered sheet aluminum stretched over actual hardwood then held in place with steel screws to mimic aviation rivets.
