Best View In The Alps

Origin of Cool: France

If you are a fan of the cold and heights, this article is for you! Jump into the world’s highest climbing cable car, get taken to the highest mountain in the Alps and waiting for you at the top…the best view in the Alps!

To get to the summit of Aiguilles de Chamonix, start in Chamonix, a quaint little French town, climb aboard the Aiguille du Midi cable car for 20 minutes and climb 1,035 meters above sea level to a height of 3,842m (12,604 ft). There is an optional stop at Plan de l’Aiguille, the cable car’s half way station (2,317 meters) and lunch at the top (at the 3842 restaurant). Cross over a bridge and then take an elevator the final 42 meters up through solid rock.

At the top, you can see Mount Blanc, the Matterhorn, Monta Rosa and the Grand Combin.
