Origin of Cool: USA

Brian Dettmer is an artist that uses knives, tweezers and surgical tools to carve one page at a time out of out-of-date encyclopedias, medical journals, illustration books, or dictionaries. Dettmer’s true art is how he plays with the pages and even spines of the books by folding, bending, rolling, and even stacking multiple books to create completely original sculptural form. Brian told Origin of Cool he will be exhibiting his work in San Francisco’s Toomey Tourell Fine Art Gallery from February 1st – March 31st 2012.

Howdy. I'm Paul, a Copywriter, Blogger, Trend-Spotter and one hell of a cook. If you like what I do because I do what a like, let me know. Let's get talking. I believe if you're remembered for one thing you've done great, but if you're remembered for more, you've lived (Paul Frade Quote *tm). I'm set to leave my mark, and I will. Let's party :)
