Axel Yberg’s firm Akke, has the tagline “Functional Art”. You cannot get more functional than combining one of the coolest table tennis tables I’ve ever seen with the flexibility of being able to remove the net and use it as a dining table. This is certainly a throwback to the early days of the sport in Britain when it was played in parlors following extravagant meals. The resurgence in ping pong is fantastic and may the sport continue to evolve into forms we have never seen before.
