How To Get Struck By Lightning

As the Wenneker website states, “this year the US counted 272 victims of lightning.” In a campaign funded by Jagermeister and entitled Struck by Lightning, Daryn Kahn flies to Florida, the lightning capital of the world and makes a short documentary about this phenomenon. Most people hear thunder and get inside before the storm hits. Daryn puts on metal armor, stands in a field and tries to experience the full force of being struck by a lightning bolt!! Darryn sort of reminds me of Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass crew. He interviews physicians who have dealt with survivors of lightning strikes and asks the comical question: “Anybody you met who got struck on purpose?” Cue an awkward silence! The subsequent scene where he tests a chainmail suit whilst wearing a motorbike helmet is pretty awe inspiring.
