Viktor Hertz Pictogram Posters
Viktor Hertz is a graphic designer based in Uppsala, Sweden. Created using a self-described method of “remixing different shapes and figures, giving them a new meaning”, his latest project – Pictogram posters – has been gathering attention all over the internet.
An ongoing project, Hertz interprets and redesigns his favourite pop-culture icons into clean-lined Pictogram illustrations. To date, he has tackled movies, music, and Stanley Kubrick films.
Far from being a one-trick pony, Hertz has won a number of art and design contests and awards over the past two years, including the renowned Cinema Fan Art Contest in 2011. He has also collaborated with various clients and stores globally, including clothing stores, galleries, and short film festivals, leading to international recognition. His work has also been featured in both Swedish and American art exhibitions, as well as in two separate books – all of this over the past year alone. We here at Origin of Cool are tagging him as ‘one to watch’ and eagerly anticipate the next Pictogram installation!
