Quebec City Carnival: A Winter Celebration

Origin of Cool: Canada

With the previous article about the Montreal Snow Village, you have certainly understood that in Quebec, we are not scared about the super cold winter! Actually, we prefer to celebrate it! That’s why since 1955, the world biggest Winter carnival takes place every year in Quebec City.

Quebec City Carnival  is about having fun over a 2 week period despite the freezing temperatures and snow. There are outdoor parties, parades, an ice sculpture contest, an ice canoe competition, snow gliding and an outdoor spa. To warm up, you can drink “Caribou”, a famous local alcohol that we only drink during the carnival!
