I met Jamie McShan at the Austin Maker Faire last week and immediately fell in love with his R2-D2 replica robot (spot the Star Wars geek!). Jamie lives in Dripping Springs, Texas and started building Star Wars‘ favorite robot in August 2008. He completed construction in June 2010. His creation is flawless and even plays “The Cantina Theme” from the original Star Wars. Check out this interview I did with Jamie:
