Red Ball Project

by:

Origin of Cool: USA

The Red Ball Project is the brainchild of Kurt Perschke, an American artist who specializes in sculpture, video collage and public space. It is a traveling public art project that is supposed to be the catalyst for people to use their imagination. Here is a video that explains the concept:

The idea is that people who come into contact with the ball make suggestions about where they would like to see it in their city and even what the ball could be used for.
I don’t know about you but it sort of reminds me of the giant white ball that chased Patrick McGoohan in the 60s TV series The Prisoner!

Where would you like to see it next?
What would you like it to be used for?
