For fans of James Cameron 1984 classic The Terminator, you will be familiar with the expressions “Cyberdyne systems” and “Skynet” – highly advanced artificial intelligence; an automated defense system that does not want humanity to prevail. The subsequent movies looked at how humanity was trying to evolve by using technology but failed to see that the robots would ultimately try to wipe out the human race. Steven Spielberg’s A.I. also did a pretty good job of giving the viewer a glimpse into a future that featured robots.

The QBO Robot was built and designed by The Corpora Robotics Company and was spearheaded by Francisco Paz. His dream: to build a robot which becomes part of our environment. Here is an eerie video showing the moment when the QBO robot sees itself for the first time. Be afraid. Be very afraid…
