School Damaged By Earthquake Turned Into Exhibition
David Lowe | Jun 21, 2012
Civil engineer Mike Hewson has installed ten massive mixed media art pieces in a building badly damaged by the magnitude 6.3 earthquake that hit Christchurch earlier this year. It is set to be demolished but before it is gone, Hewson wanted to pay homage to the building by depicting artists and others who lived and worked in the building. Private donations and Hewson’s own money covered the $15,000 installation costs.
