Uberpong: The Future Of Table Tennis Begins Now

Uberpong is a project I have been dreaming about for the last year and a half. We have just launched our Kickstarter campaign and at the time of writing had raised $125 in the first 15 minutes since going live! We feel table tennis or “ping-pong” as it is more commonly known needs to change in the following ways:

1). The game needs more color. People need to express themselves more and this should start with the equipment they use. We are starting with our own brand of table tennis paddles that combines the work of great artists, graphic designers and illustrators from around the world (and of course local talent in Austin!). Support art and play with style at the same time!
2). More parks, cafes and bars need to have ping-pong tables as it is a great social sport. Whether you are a jock, a nerd or a hipster, anyone can play and table tennis is the ultimate bridge between age, race and gender. Let’s bring ping-pong out from the basement and into the big time!
3). More companies need to invest in table tennis tables for their staff. If you sit behind a PC monitor for 10 hours a day and a visit to the gym kills your lunch hour, demand that your boss buy a table!
