Koubachi: Wi-Fi Plant Sensor

Origin of Cool: Switzerland

Are you a geek and you want to impress your mother or girlfriend by showing her that you CAN take care of plants? A Zurich-based company has the ideal solution for you! Its name…Koubachi!

You just have to put Koubachi in the soil, beside your plant and it will automatically measure the soil moisture, the temperature and even the light! Then, Koubachi will communicate via wi-fi with your iPhone and your laptop to advise (or alarm!) you about what your plant needs. If you feel the need, it seems that you even have access to a plant encyclopedia to learn about your plants. Sadly, this cool gadget is quite expensive at 115€ (150$).

But finally, keeping your plant alive will be as simple as playing FarmVille!
