Origin of Cool: Ohio, USA 39.415352, -81.454844 Wood Carvings by Just A Jar

Just A Jar have created these amazing wood carvings. Bobby Rosenstock emailed me and sent the process. Here it is:

After spending a few months working on the drawing. I transferred it onto a piece of 3 by 4 foot birch plywood. It was carved with hand tools over a 3 month period. I printed the block at Yee-Haw Industries in Knoxville, TN on their large Takach etching press. The text was printed from large, hand set wood type that was locked up along with the block on the press. The final 2-color, 3 by 5 foot print was printed in a limited edition of 15 prints.

What do you think of this style of printing? What are your thoughts on the design? Let us know in the comments below the article.
